Kentville. Horton’s Corner. The Devil’s Half Acre!
Have you ever wondered about Kentville’s colourful past? Presented by Valley Ghost Walks, Kentville’s Ghostwalks are two seperate, 1.5-hour, historical tours. The Downtown Ghost Walk starts on the steps of the Cornwallis Inn while the other takes place entirely in the Oak Grove Cemetery (across from the Research Station). These walks are a creatively spooky way to receive a memorable history lesson of Kentville. 2013 UPDATE: The 2013 Downtown Ghost Walks will happen every-fourth Wednesday, starting at 8pm, from the steps of the Cornwallis Inn. The 2013 Oak Grove Cemetery Walks (also every-fourth Wednesday) start at the entrance of the main driveway off Hwy #1 (park across the road at Burger Hill). The 2013 Kentville Indoor Ghost Show is a combination of these two walks at CentreStage's newly renovated upstairs theatre. Details: - The walks happen rain, snow or moonshine, so please dress appropriately. - These shows are family-friendly....but not everyone is into history. - Highly reccommended for the Oak Grove Cemetery: bug spray, a flashlight, and bring your umbrella to be on the safeside. - Please note, in the Oak Grove Cemetery there is a fairly steep uphill climb on a main grassy path. - All Valley Ghost Walks are part-fundraisers for local theatre groups: CentreStage, Edalene & Quick As A Wink.
